Dr. Robert A. Coleman received his Dental degree from
Tufts Dental School in 1972.
He practiced with his father, Dr. Herman J.
Coleman, until his retirement in 1976. The Coleman
practice continues proudly in the tradition of
providing high quality dental care and service for over
55 years. |

Dr. Coleman has accumulated well over 2,000 hours of
continuing education.
In 1991 he completed the 300-hour Brookdale Implant
Maxicourse, and in 1992 he finished the NYU Implant Surgical and
Prosthetic 2-year residence. Over the years, he has
studied with many of the pioneers in the field of
dentistry, including
Dr. Norman Cranin, Dr. Hilt Tatum and a 2-year
associateship with Dr. Leonard Linkow. In 1995, he earned
Fellowship status in the International Congress Of Oral Implantology, and
in 1996 he earned Diplomate status (www.icoi.org). |
| Upon completion of the NYU
residence, Dr. Coleman was invited to join the NYU Faculty
as Clinical Assistant Professor (www.nyu.edu/Dental/ce).
In 1996 he was appointed Clinical Associate Professor at
NYU, and he has served as both Clinic Director and Surgical
Director. Over the past 10 years he has enjoyed the
experience of training hundreds of graduate dentists in
the art and science of Implant Dentistry. He has also
lectured extensively and given numerous radio interviews. |
| In April 2000, after a
rigorous 2-year process that included the submission of 100
cases as well as a written and oral examination, Dr.
Coleman was certified as a Diplomate in the American Board
of Oral Implantology (www.aboi.org).
He is one of only 215 Diplomates in the United States. |
